How It Works

ReSound’s Nexia is making the way for the next era of Hearing Aids. These Hearing Aids are made ready for Auracast streaming.

Auracast is a new connectivity platform whereby one source is able to share sound with multiple devices. Sound transmitters with Auracast enabled on a train, at the theatre, on museum tours will be able to transmit directly to your Hearing Aids, you just have to choose what you would like to listen too. For example, in a museum they may choose to have transmitters for each language. You would choose which one you would like to program into and listen too, with the option to flick between them if you so wish. This technology is planned to roll out globally and it can transmit to headphones, earbuds and Hearing Aids. So you get the same sound experience offered as everyone else.

In terms of speech and sound in noise the Nexia debuts the 360 All-Around Directionality which automatically adjusts directional microphone patterns to put you in the best position to hear what’s important and still monitor the sounds in the environment around you. Whilst Ultra Focus uses a directional pattern to focus on the person in front of you even in busy environment.
With the option of multiple noise reduction and comfort settings in the higher performance levels, these Hearing Aids shall offer you more support in busier and louder environments.

The Nexia has direct connectivity to your iPhone, iPad or modern Android devices for ease of use with calls or streaming.

Accessories

The ReSound Smart 3D App offers you the option to adjust your volume, noise and wind noise settings as well as speech focus from your phone. You can also Geotag your settings on their App, meaning you can save those exact settings to use each time you are in that environment.

The Nexia is available in styles that are made for direct connectivity to both Android and iPhone devices.

To make the most of watching your favourite programmes the TV Streamer + will allow you to enjoy the sound quality directly to your ears. This streamer is also ready with the Auracast technology so can cast to multiple hearing devices at any time.

Aftercare

Richmond Hearing provides free aftercare for the life of the Hearing Aids

The ReSound app allows for Remote Care. This enables us to programme the Hearing Aid from anywhere in the world by way of a virtual appointment.

You can make appointments to be seen in our clinics, or home visits can be arranged if required.
