Bernafon Zerena 9
Bernafon’s Zerena range has now been superseded by the Viron hearing aids. However Zerena uses the same Dynamic Environment Control System (DECS), powered by an ultra-effective processing chip, to offer you the best in dynamic features and great sound. This technology means the settings adapt automatically to your environment and don’t rely on preset programs. With added Tinnitus SoundSupport, the Zerena provides tinnitus relief and amplification together. The Zerena allows you to focus on speech understanding and enjoyment of sound and music whilst requiring you to use less listening effort.
Bernafon Zerena offers many options, coming in a Behind The Ear (BTE), a Receiver In The Ear (RITE) which included a rechargeable miniRITE option with ZPower, and customs styles including In The Ear (ITE).
The Zerena range also came in the Zerena 7, 5, 3 and 1 offering the same platform technology but with less performance and support than that of the Zerena 9, to suit the users specific requirements.

Bernafon Juna 9
Now superseded by the Leox range, the Bernafon Juna offered hearing technology to meet your needs even in more challenging soundscapes. The technology used focuses on making speech understanding easier. The noise reduction within the Hearing Aids works to detect and manage noise in environments where reverberation can occur. The technology in the Juna works to eradicate the negative impact these noises can have on speech understanding and listening comfort. The technology constantly analyses the environment and adapts to it so that the user can experience better comfort even in noise.
Other useful features in the Juna are that program changes made on one hearing aid will be automatically made to the other aid. Also, with the telephone on one ear, the non-telephone hearing aid will automatically mute or amplification will be reduced to allow you to understand the caller with less effort required. The aids also have a comfort in airplane setting whereby the noise reduction and directionality are adjusted to make your flight more comfortable.

To get the most from your Bernafon Hearing Aids it is worth investing in some of the compatible accessories. These include;
SoundClip-A – The all-rounder for hands-free phone conversations from iPhone® and modern smartphones. It improves communication at a distance and in very noisy environments. You can also use it to change volume and pick up phone calls.
TV-A – This TV box streams the sound from the TV directly to Viron hearing instruments in Dolby Digital Stereo sound quality.
RC-A – The RC-A remote control communicates with Viron hearing instruments using wireless technology and allows for discreet volume and program changes.
EasyControl-A app for mobile phone. The app can be used to regulate volume, change program settings, monitor your battery level and use the helpful “Find my hearing instrument” function.
Aftercare

You can make appointments to be seen in our clinics, or home visits can be arranged if required.
Purchases of replacement Batteries, Wax Guards, Domes and Sports Locks for your Hearing Aids are available from Richmond Hearing.
